SCUBA DIVING AT TARKARLI
Dive into the sparkling waters off the Konkan coast near Tarkarli beatch (6 km from Malwan in Maharastra) and snorkel near Sindhudurg Fort.This part of the Konkan is largely unknown,its waters still pristine.The beaches are the some of the best in the country and the marine life is varied,with coral reefs,colourful fish, dolphins and sargasum forests.Diving in a new area between Tarkarli and Vengurla has just started,so get yourself there between October and May to make the most of it.Sunday, April 6, 2008

I read information about Tarkarli on your blog and thought of reaching you. I am planning to visit this place on 2nd May 2008. So, would like to know more about this place. Can you please let me know some more details about this place, like how is the place, food accommodation and most important the local transport connectivity etc. I am more interested in seeing the clean and untouched beach and Snorkeling. Parasailing, where a person is towed behind a vehicle.while attached to a specially designed canopy wing that reminds one of a parachute, known as a parasail wing. The manned kite's moving anchor may be a car, truck.The harness attaches the pilot to the parasail, which is connected to the boat, or land vehicle, by the tow rope. The vehicle then drives off, carrying the parascender (or wing) and person into the air. If the boat is powerful enough, two or three people can parasail behind it at the same time. The parascender has little or no control over the parachute. The activity is primarily a fun ride, not to be confused with the sport of paragliding.
